Does the fabric defuzzer require batteries?
The Awker Fabric Shaver does not require any batteries. The 110-volt defuzzer comes complete with a 4.5 foot (1.4 meter) electrical cord that plugs into any power source via a standard U.S. adapter. Once plugged in, simply flip the power switch to On and gently press the shaver in a circular motion to remove unwanted fuzz and leave your clothing or upholstery looking brand new.
How does the fabric shaver work?
Behind the large shaving head there is a powerful stainless steel shaving blade that quickly spin around collecting fabric lint, fuzz and pilling. The blade remain securely behind the shaver head to avoid any snagging caused by direct contact with the fabric. The smart design covers a lot of fabric in a short span of time.
How do I remove the detachable lint holder?
One of the best features of the practical sweater shaver is the no-mess, ultra-convenient detachable lint catcher. After the removable lint holder fills up with particles, simply slide straight downward to release the bin and empty the contents. The first time you remove the lint catcher, it may feel a little firm from being in place through delivery. Once released and replaced, it will get easier to remove.
Can I use the defuzzer on any fabric?
Although the fabric shaver works wonderfully on many common clothing and furniture fabrics, it is not suitable to be used on thin or fragile fabrics. The Vila Fabric Defuzzer effective removes pilling and lint from sweaters, knitwear, carpet, curtains and most upholstery without any damage to the fabric. Avoid using the defuzzer on cashmere, silk, lace, jeans, embroidered clothing or decorative embellishments.
