    Description

    A stunning pair of antique early Victorian / late Georgian English drop earrings; beautifully made, with mother of pearl backs, gilt wires and fabulous layered, graduated seed pearl decoration. They appear complete or very close to it, and each has a broken section of gut thread - probably a simple fix for a jeweller or hobbyist. Dating from around 1830/50, they weigh 4.6 grams together and their total drop measures 46 mm / 1.8 inches. The final photo shows them with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
